Pacific Parks is a gathering of Christians who seek to follow Jesus in a relaxed, relational and relevant way on the North Gold Coast. We began in 2002 as an expression of emerging missional church in the community.
Although small, we’re a recognised congregation in the Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland Synod. We celebrate life in homes, parks, cafes and other public places.
We started as a venture in June 2002 with the mandate to develop as a ‘postmodern regional church’, working as a network of small groups on the north Gold Coast.
We don’t own a building or site for worship. We meet over the dining room table and in the lounge, choosing to focus on honest, life-affirming conversation about faith and action. We don’t run ‘church services’ with singing, formal prayers and ‘from-the-front’ leadership, although some of us are also members of congregations that provide that focus.
